Macbeth (Reimagined)
For my reimagining of Macbeth, I decided to set the events during the 1930s in Glasgow. Inspired by the famous Glasgow Razor Gangs, I reimagined the plot of Macbeth as a story about gang wars and a fight for power in the underbelly of the city. I researched famous gangs to reference in my work, as well as the fashion of the time. I aimed to represent an element of Glasgow’s history which is often misrepresented and misunderstood.

A print development inspired by quotes from Macbeth.
